Hazardous underwater situations: Production of necessary documentations

Some of our most hazardous operations have included diving surveys of chemical outfalls off the Ayrshire coast, discharging Permethrin and Lindane, and deep diver inspection of active sewage outfalls! We are experienced in diving operations in Hydraulic heads, such as Dam outfall valves, Canal Locks, and Coffer dams. As an ex Cave Diver, Robin Turner has been involved in surveying cave systems, and in Underwater Wreck Archaeology. This has allowed the development of House Diving Rules, for Diving in Surface Occluded environments and site specific health and safety procedures to be followed onsite.  An example of a health and safety document can be seen here and an example of the dive rules issued at the beginning of every job can be seen here.  Dive rules can be generic, but it is more usual for dive rules to be job specific and they are issued along with a method statement as to how each job is to be conducted.
